Catapult Rights brokered the option and rights agreement for 29 Seconds by Sunday Times best selling author T.M Logan. The Thriller will be adapted into a TV drama series by Frank Spotnitz’s Big Light Productions as part of its first look with Tomorrow Studios.

Under working title One Name, the series will be penned by ITV’s The Confessions of Frannie Langton scribe Sara Collins. One Name will be executive produced by Spotnitz and Elizabeth Kesses of EJK Productions alongside Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios

Published in 2018 by Bonnier Zaffre, 29 Seconds follows a lecturer at a top university whose intolerable and obsessive boss is making her life hell. Faced with a decision to leave and uproot her family, or continue to rebuff his persistent sexual advances, Sarah feels trapped, until an unexpected encounter with a powerful and dangerous man ends with her being owed a favour that could fix her problems forever.

T.M. Logan is famed for his seriously addictive storytelling and gritty narratives that have audiences hooked worldwide, and 29 Seconds is no exception. It has three key things in abundance that make it perfect for an adaptation to a television drama – a sensational story, a strong IP with global appeal, and of course, it is hugely entertaining.

Working together with the extremely talented Sara Collins and our producing partners Elizabeth Kesses of EJK Productions and Tomorrow Studios to adapt this thrilling piece of storytelling is incredibly exciting, and we look forward to bringing this development project to Mipcom.

Give me one name. One person. And I will make that person disappear.

When Sarah rescues a young girl in trouble, she expects nothing in return. But her instinctive act of bravery puts a
powerful and dangerous man in her debt. He lives by his own brutal code, and all debts must be repaid – in the only way
he knows how.
He offers Sarah a way to solve an impossible situation with her intolerable boss. A once-in-a-lifetime deal that will make all her problems disappear.

No consequences. No comeback. No chance of being found out.

All it takes is a 29-second phone call…

Because everyone has a name to give. Don’t they?
